Jen + Aaron // Cultus Lake, BC // March 16, 2019
I adore these two. I adore their personalities. I adore their selfless natures. And I adore their shared love for God and his plan for their lives. Previously, I had only known Jen through our following of one another on social media, our shared artistic interests, and the encouraging comments we would leave on each other’s posts. However, my relationship with Jen and Aaron immediately grew into a friendship once we met in person. I’m not sure if it was due to our peaceful demeanours or our common interest in the Enneagram, but we were instant friends. It was a complete honour to be asked by them to photograph their wedding day. Of course I said yes.
March 16th arrived and with it came the first gorgeous day of the season. Cultus Lake Memorial Church provided a charming location for the ceremony with its stained glass windows and antique wood paneling. The church itself was situated next to Cultus Lake, which was a perfect backdrop for this couple and their big day.
The wedding was full of special moments, like Jen’s daughter, Adrina, walking her down the aisle and giving her away, as well as a number of special guests who were able to make it to join in the celebration. Everyone who attended had a significant place in Aaron and Jen’s lives; you could tell that they were deeply loved and appreciated by this bride and groom and vice versa. It was a day full to the brim of love and laughter - I don’t think Jen or Aaron stopped smiling once.
It was an honour to be your photographer, friends.
